This pea and chickpea hummus combines the creaminess of chickpeas with the natural sweetness of peas for a fresh twist on a classic favourite. Quick to make and full of fibre, protein, and flavour, it’s perfect for snacks, lunches, or sharing with friends and family.
Ingredients
400g can or chickpeas
150g peas (fresh or thawed from frozen)
2 tbsp tahini
2 tsp lemon juice
1 clove of garlic
Salt and pepper
Method
Drain your chickpeas, importantly keeping the aquafaba (the stuff the chickpeas are in)
In a food processor; blend chickpeas, peas, tahini, lemon, garlic, salt and pepper and 4 tbsp of aquafaba
Blend until creamy
Add more aquafaba if necessary
Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.
