This easy to make healthy snack is great for on the go or to refuel during a hike. The base can be adapted to suit your preference or goals. Just nuts, seeds and mix-ins can provide a versatile snack for the whole family.

Ingredients
140g almonds
60g pistachios
60g Pumpkin seeds
60g Sunflower seeds
70g raisins
80g dark chocolate (over 70%)
Few pinches of salt
Serving size – 13-17 servings (28g-36g)
Based on 150-200 calorie serving
Method
In a large airtight box (such as a lunchbox), put almonds, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins, chopped dark chocolate and salt.
Stir well until combined.
Put on the lid and take out a serving as you require.
Variations
The base of nuts and seeds can be adapted to suit your preference of macronutrient/calorie goals. Similarly with the mix-ins, the sweetness of dried fruit and the bitterness of dark chocolate help balance the flavour. The addition of salt helps balance out the nuts but this can also work well with other seasonings whether it is sweet or spicy, depending on preference.
